Cosori Dual Blaze Air Fryer Review: Dual Heat, Pros and Cons

Quick verdict: the Cosori Dual Blaze is a large single-basket air fryer with heaters above and below the food. Cosori markets its 360 ThermoIQ layout for cooking both sides with less routine shaking; that is a manufacturer claim, not a result we have measured. It is not a two-zone air fryer.

What dual heating changes

Most basket air fryers place the heater above the food. Airflow carries heat around the basket, but wet or dense loads can still brown more slowly underneath. The Dual Blaze adds a lower heating element. Cosori says this cooks both sides more evenly without routine shaking or flipping.

That does not suspend the laws of airflow. Overcrowded fries can still trap steam, and a thick piece of food may need turning. The hardware simply gives the underside an additional heat source and makes the no-shake promise more credible than on a top-only design.

Practical uses and limits: specification-led assessment

  • Roasted vegetables and chicken pieces: top-and-bottom heat should improve underside colour.
  • Steak and chops: the broad basket and lower element reduce dependence on a mid-cook flip, although a thermometer remains essential.
  • Fries: use a loose layer and dry the surface. Dual heat helps, but a full basket still benefits from redistribution.
  • Bakes and filled foods: use an oven-safe container and manage drips because fat can collect beneath the crisper plate.

Cosori Dual Blaze vs TurboBlaze: the US models compared

This comparison is specifically Dual Blaze CAF-P583S-KUS versus TurboBlaze CAF-DC601-KUS. Similar names and different regional or Smart versions do not guarantee identical specifications.

US model buying differences
Decision point Dual Blaze
CAF-P583S-KUS
TurboBlaze
CAF-DC601-KUS
Basket volume 6.8 qt / 6.4 L, one zone 6.0 qt / 5.7 L, one zone
Heat range 175–400°F / 80–205°C 90–450°F / 30–230°C
Hardware Heaters above and below the basket DC fan with five program-linked speeds
Program choice 12 functions, including food-specific presets 9 functions, including Proof and Dehydrate
  • For low-temperature tasks: TurboBlaze adds Proof and Dehydrate, with a lower published minimum. Dual Blaze’s larger program count does not make it the more versatile choice for those jobs.
  • For fan control: Cosori says the standard TurboBlaze’s five speeds follow its cooking functions; they are not a separate user-adjustable fan dial. Choose the program for the task rather than buying it to select any speed at any temperature.
  • For batch size: Dual Blaze has 0.8 qt more stated volume. That does not establish usable floor area or guarantee an extra portion. Use your usual single-layer load and our capacity calculator as a starting point.

Check the Smart suffix: Cosori also sells a separate cream Smart TurboBlaze listing identified as CAF-DC601S-WUSR, which explicitly advertises VeSync. Do not transfer that listing’s app features to CAF-DC601-KUS based on the TurboBlaze name alone. Match the full code on the seller’s listing before ordering.

Buying decision: favour Dual Blaze for its lower heating element and larger nominal basket; favour the standard TurboBlaze for its wider temperature range and named low-temperature programs. Neither offers two independently controlled cooking zones. If that is your priority, start with our single-basket versus dual-basket comparison. We have not run a head-to-head cooking or electricity test, so this is a feature comparison, not proof that one finishes dinner faster or costs less to run.

Where Iconic and the recalled Max XL fit

Dual Blaze and TurboBlaze are not the only COSORI names shoppers will encounter. Two other models need different treatment rather than being folded into the table above.

  • Iconic CAF-SE601S-CUS: this is a current 6.5-quart US smart model with a 120 V / 1,725 W rating, five fan speeds, PFAS-free ceramic-coated food-contact surfaces and a five-year limited warranty in COSORI’s published specification. Our COSORI Iconic exact-model guide explains where those features may justify its premium and where a simpler fryer is enough.
  • CP158-AF Max XL: this older 5.8-quart family is not a normal current-buying alternative. The U.S. CPSC recall dated February 23, 2023 includes CP158-AF and listed suffix variants because a wire connection can overheat. Owners should stop using affected units and follow the official remedy. Our CP158-AF recall and identification guide helps check the complete model label.

For a broader inventory without treating every COSORI as interchangeable, use the COSORI brand collection. Match the full model code, market voltage and basket layout before comparing features or prices.

VeSync and smart controls

VeSync can monitor cooking, load compatible recipes and support voice control. The appliance itself still provides the core controls, which is important: an air fryer should not become unusable because Wi-Fi is down. Remote start may be restricted for safety depending on the mode and app version.

Cleaning and smoke prevention

Let the air fryer cool, remove the basket and crisper plate, and clear grease from below the plate after fatty foods. Cosori specifically warns that pooled fat and wet marinades can smoke. Pat marinated food dry, avoid overfilling and leave the manufacturer’s recommended clearance around the unit.

Use soft tools on the non-stick surfaces. If the basket coating becomes badly damaged, replace the part rather than hiding the area beneath a liner. Read our non-stick coating guide for material-care basics.

Pros and cons

Pros

Large 6.8 qt basket; upper and lower heaters; 12 functions; app optional rather than mandatory; less routine shaking; official two-year limited warranty listed.

Cons

One cooking zone; relatively high 1,750 W draw; no low-temperature range below 175 °F; app features add complexity; “Dual” name can mislead shoppers.

Who should buy the Dual Blaze?

It suits a household that cooks one large food type or mixed roast at a time and wants better underside heating. Choose a two-drawer model instead if the main and side need different programs. Choose the standard TurboBlaze when Proof, Dehydrate and a wider temperature range matter more than a lower heater.

Editorial method: this is specification-led analysis, not a hands-on test. The review was first researched on 26 September 2026; the exact US model comparison and control-variant distinction were checked against Cosori’s official product pages on 19 October 2026. Cooking suitability is editorial interpretation. We have not measured browning, speed, basket floor area or electricity consumption.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Cosori Dual Blaze a dual-basket air fryer?

No. “Dual Blaze” refers to upper and lower heating elements in one 6.8 qt basket. It cannot run two independent temperatures like a dual-zone, two-drawer air fryer.

Do you need to shake food in the Cosori Dual Blaze?

The two heating elements are designed to reduce shaking or flipping, but load shape and crowding still matter. Check food and redistribute it when the underside or centre is cooking unevenly.

What is the difference between Cosori Dual Blaze and TurboBlaze?

Dual Blaze prioritizes a 6.8 qt basket, upper and lower heaters, 12 functions and VeSync smart control. TurboBlaze uses a 6.0 qt basket and a variable-speed DC motor design. Choose by heating layout and workflow, not the similar names.

Can the Cosori Dual Blaze basket go in the dishwasher?

Follow the current model manual for dishwasher guidance. Even when a part is listed as dishwasher-safe, gentle hand washing can be kinder to a non-stick coating.

Does the Cosori Dual Blaze require Wi-Fi?

No. Core cooking controls are available on the appliance. VeSync adds remote monitoring, recipes and compatible smart features, but the air fryer can be used without app control.

Is the older Cosori CP158-AF Max XL recalled?

Yes. CP158-AF and the suffix variants listed by the U.S. CPSC are included in recall 23-130. Stop using an affected unit and follow the official remedy rather than treating it as a used-buying alternative to current models.

European Dual Blaze: match the regional code

The name DUAL-BLAZE and shortened CAF-P583S family identifier also appear on the European 6.4-litre model. The European CAF-P583S-KEU manual specifies 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz and 1,700 W, compared with the US CAF-P583S-KUS rating discussed above. It lists 80–205°C, a 1–60-minute timer, 29.7 × 32.7 × 35.2 cm exterior dimensions and 6.22 kg weight. These are manufacturer figures, not our measurements.

Both are one-basket upper/lower-heating designs. Capacity conversions do not make the voltage, plug, warranty or parts interchangeable. European shoppers should check the local label and European Dual Blaze product page. The manufacturer CAF-P583S-KEU manual is the source for this regional table, checked October 24, 2026.

For a larger divided-basket workflow in Europe, use our Dual Blaze 6.4-litre versus TwinFry 10-litre comparison; it does not substitute a US model or offer for a European one.

Shopping for a US model?

For US shoppers comparing single-basket options, standard TurboBlaze adds a wider temperature range but does not have Dual Blaze’s upper and lower heaters. The linked offer is TurboBlaze, a different model; use the comparison above to decide whether that trade-off suits your meals.
