Rank the job the appliance must do before paying for more functions. For most buyers, usable capacity, handling and cleaning decide day-to-day value. A food probe, heated plate, divider or app is useful when it solves a task you actually repeat.
Cleaning and handling
List every part you will wash: drawer, crisper, divider, rack, glass, grill plate, probe, pressure lid or steam collector. Check each part’s instructions. A dishwasher-safe basket does not make the whole appliance or electrical/probe components dishwasher safe.
Simple controls or measured doneness
A timer and temperature control can be enough for routine snacks. An integrated probe helps with supported protein/doneness tasks, but Smart in a name does not prove Wi-Fi. BG500A’s guide, for example, does not document the integrated probe claimed by some descriptions.
Materials without sweeping promises
Ninja’s materials and coatings vary by model, component and production version. Treat exact current manufacturer claims as model-specific. Do not infer that all historic baskets are ceramic or PFAS-free from a newer glass-system campaign.
Whole delivered value
Compare the complete regional package, required accessories, seller condition, warranty and returns. A copper finish is not a proven heating upgrade, and a refurbished offer should not be compared with new-unit warranty terms as if the conditions were identical.
The claims we cannot turn into a ranking
Catalogue availability and review counts are not measured cooking performance. We do not award invented test scores, claim best-seller status, or turn a manufacturer’s recipe-specific energy/speed claim into a universal saving.
US model directory
| Model review | Capacity / layout | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| AF080 | 2 qt | Choose this for one small portion and very simple controls. Skip it if you need adjustable cooking temperatures or a main and side cooked independently. See AF080 price |
| AF101 | 4 qt | The practical US small-basket baseline: weigh its simple controls against the larger AF141 and AF150AMZ before paying for an older listing. See AF101 price |
| AF141 | 5 qt | A useful middle-size US drawer without a probe or independently timed second basket. Choose it when AF101 feels small but you do not need the AF161 Max Crisp programme. See AF141 price |
| AF150AMZ | 5.5 qt | The US XL retailer model adds volume over AF101 without the Max Crisp programme of AF161. Do not confuse its 5.5 US quarts with a European five-litre rating. See AF150AMZ price |
| AF161 | 5.5 qt | The US MAX XL offers a dedicated high-temperature programme. It is a different regional appliance from AF160UK/EU; match the full code before ordering accessories. |
| DZ071 | 7 qt; divider creates two 3.5-qt zones | Choose the US FlexBasket when a wider undivided cooking area matters. Splitting it creates two cooking zones inside one removable drawer, not two separate baskets. See DZ071 price |
| DZ090 | 6 qt, two 3-qt drawers | This compact US DualZone gives each food only a three-quart drawer. That trade-off suits modest separate portions, while DZ302 offers more space per zone. |
| DZ302 | 10 qt, two 5-qt drawers | Choose this US XL for bigger separate batches without paying for an integrated food probe. Its programme list differs from DZ550; compare the actual control panel rather than a generic DualZone description. See DZ302 price |
| DZ550 | 10 qt, two 5-qt drawers | Choose the US Smart XL when probe-guided doneness matters alongside two drawers. The currently matched marketplace offer is refurbished, so inspect condition, included thermometer and seller terms before ordering. View refurbished DZ550 offer |
| SL451 | 10 qt, two 5-qt drawers | The US Smart DoubleStack suits separate mains and sides when counter width is scarce. It needs height and drawer-pull room, and four food positions remain two independently controlled cooking zones. See SL451 price |
| AG301 AG302 |
6-qt pot; 4-qt crisper basket | The US original Foodi grill is useful when grilling matters as much as crisping. AG302 is a retailer/accessory package of the same functional platform; neither is two independent cooking zones. See AG301 price |
| BG500A | XL grill; check supplied basket | The BG500A owner guide documents manual doneness checks with an external thermometer. Do not mistake the old Smart XL wording for an included integrated Smart Cook probe. |
| SF301 | 6-qt pot with adjustable tray | The US Speedi combines steam and crisping for planned layered meals. It has a different regional identity and programme list from European ON400EU; it is not a six-quart pressure cooker. See SF301 price |
| SFP701 | Combi pan plus baking/crisper trays | Choose US Combi for rice/pasta below a crisp upper dish and for front access to pans. Choose a drawer air fryer for simple basket shaking; do not buy Combi expecting pressure cooking or a microwave. See SFP701 price |
| DCT401 | Two cavities behind FlexDoor; not a 12-L rating | The US Double Oven is useful when two foods need different programmes. The air-fry basket belongs to the lower convection cavity; twelve describes functions, not litres. See DCT401 price |
| SP080 | Low-profile tray oven; check tray and food height | Choose it for flat tray meals, toast and a flip-up storage format. Do not transfer the eight-mode SP101 menu or an invented twelve-litre figure to this six-mode model. |
| SP351 | Tray oven with heated SearPlate | Choose Smart Dual Heat when you will use the heated SearPlate and probe. It is not a 38-litre oven, and the SearPlate's heat rating is not a universal air-fry temperature setting. See SP351 price |
| FD401 | 8-qt pot; 5-qt crisp basket | The US Deluxe XL combines a large pressure pot with a smaller crisping basket. Verify its exact model/production version and supplied lids rather than treating all Foodi codes as the same appliance. |
| AS101CY AS101OR |
6-qt and 2.5-qt glass containers | Choose Crispi Pro for visible glass cooking and container-based prep/serve/store. The two supplied containers are alternatives under one cooking head, not two independently heated zones. See AS101CY price |
EU model directory
| Model review | Capacity / layout | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| AF100EU | 3.8 L | This is the small European single basket, not the US AF101. It suits modest batches and reheating; moving to AF140EU adds nominal basket space, while AF160EU adds Max Crisp. |
| AF140EU | 4.7 L | A straightforward European Pro single basket. Pick it for routine air frying and reheating; choose the larger AF180EU when one shallow layer of food is the limiting factor. |
| AF140EUCM | 4.7 L | Cinnamon is the distinguishing finish, not a different cooking layout. Compare the delivered price and included pieces with ordinary AF140EU before paying a colour premium. |
| AF150EUCP | Retailer listings conflict: 5.2 or 6.2 L; confirm the manual | A legacy copper package with incomplete current manufacturer documentation. Buy only when the seller supplies its exact manual and rating label; do not transfer AF160EU Max Crisp settings merely because both are sold as MAX. |
| AF160EU | 5.2 L | The European MAX sits between the smaller Pro and the larger MAX PRO. Its Max Crisp programme is the reason to compare it with AF140EU; volume alone does not establish how much breaded food fits flat. |
| AF180EU | 6.2 L | Choose the larger square single drawer when wide portions are more important than two independent zones. The adjustable crisper plate changes food position, not the number of cooking zones. |
| AF180EUCP | 6.2 L | The copper finish belongs to the MAX PRO family. Check the included plate and accessories; a finish change is not evidence of better airflow, a probe or additional cooking zones. |
| AF180EUWH | 6.2 L | The white model retains the large single-drawer layout. It makes sense for a coordinated kitchen when its complete delivered package is competitive with the standard finish. |
| AF200EU | 7.6 L, two 3.8-L drawers | The simpler European two-drawer option omits some programmes found on AF300EU. Choose by the functions you will actually use, not by assuming every DualZone panel is identical. |
| AF300EU | 7.6 L, two 3.8-L drawers | A sensible European main-and-side layout when each 3.8-litre drawer fits your portions. AF400EU adds space per drawer; AF500EU solves a different problem with a removable divider. |
| AF400EU AF400EUCP |
9.5 L, two 4.75-L drawers | Choose this European MAX when 3.8-litre drawers would be restrictive. The separate baskets give independent handling, but neither opens into a single large roasting drawer. |
| AF400EUWH | 9.5 L, two 4.75-L drawers | The white European MAX has two side-by-side drawers. Compare exact colour, parts and local warranty; it is not the white DoubleStack or the US DZ550. |
| DZ400EUSTGD | 9.5 L, two-drawer MAX | This stone/gold European DualZone is a finish-specific model, not DoubleStack. The French store mixes a 9.5-litre title with 7.6-litre/four-mode copy; use the matching manual and rating label rather than that contradictory summary. |
| AF451EU | 9.5 L, two 4.75-L drawers | Pay for Smart Cook when you will use temperature-guided meat/fish cooking. If you only cook timed snacks, ordinary AF400EU provides the same broad two-drawer capacity class with fewer probe parts to manage. |
| AF500EU | 10.4 L; divider creates two zones | The flexible drawer is the reason to choose it: remove the divider for wide food, or use split zones for separate settings. It is not two separately removable baskets. |
| AF500EUCP | 10.4 L; removable divider | The black/copper package retains the large FlexDrawer format. Confirm the divider, both crisper plates and retailer extras; do not buy it expecting app controls or a probe because the trim looks premium. |
| AF500EUWH | 10.4 L; removable divider | The white FlexDrawer is a colour-specific European model. Its main advantage is the full-width undivided drawer; check that you can comfortably lift and wash that whole drawer. |
| SL300EU | 7.6 L, two 3.8-L drawers | The smaller DoubleStack saves width by stacking the drawers. Choose it when cupboard height and forward drawer access work in your kitchen; four rack levels still share two zone settings. |
| SL400EU SL400EU-GRIS, Double Stack XL |
9.5 L, two 4.75-L drawers | The gray DoubleStack XL increases capacity over SL300EU. GRIS is a French colour description used in the old catalogue, not proof of a separate cooking platform. |
| SL400EUCP | 9.5 L, two 4.75-L drawers | Choose the copper finish for appearance and the included package, rather than expecting four independent temperatures. It still has two controlled drawers with an optional rack in each. |
| SL400EUWH | 9.5 L, two 4.75-L drawers | This white DoubleStack is the tall, narrow alternative to a side-by-side white AF400EUWH. Compare operating depth and drawer removal before choosing by colour alone. |
| SL451EU | 9.5 L, two 4.75-L drawers | The European Smart Cook DoubleStack adds a probe to the stacked layout. Its 9.5-litre electrical variant must not be sold through an unlabelled US SL451 ten-quart link. |
| AG301EU | 5.7-L pot; separate crisper basket | Choose the European original grill for a contact grill plate plus occasional air frying. Its cooking-pot volume is not the amount of fries that fits in a single layer. |
| AG551EU AG551EUCP |
3.8-L crisper basket | Choose this European MAX for its larger grilling area and probe system. Do not confuse the grill-area claim with an enlarged frying basket or the flat-plate capability of AG651EU. |
| AG551EUCP | 3.8-L crisper basket | The copper package belongs to the AG551EU support family. Confirm exactly which grate, basket, pot and probe are in the box; trim does not establish a different heating system. |
| AG651EU | 3.8-L crisper basket | The MAX PRO is worth considering when you will use its flat plate as well as the grill. It adds cooking surfaces to wash and store, not a second independent air-frying chamber. |
| DG551EU | 3.8-L pot and crisper basket | A European indoor grill with probe guidance and an air-crisp basket. The 3.8-litre cooking components and grill surface serve different jobs; a grill is not automatically a better high-volume fryer. |
| EG351EU | 5.7-L cooking pot; air-crisp capacity differs | Choose it for compact indoor grilling with probe-assisted doneness. The 5.7-litre pot figure is not a claim that 5.7 litres of loose food can be air-fried evenly. |
| OG701EU | Grill surface and crisper basket, not a drawer-litre class | The original European Woodfire combines electric grilling, smoking and air frying outdoors. Pellets add smoke flavour; electricity supplies cooking heat. It is not an indoor air fryer or a charcoal barbecue. |
| OG850EU | XL grill surface and crisper basket | The Pro XL prioritises a larger outdoor grilling area and probe guidance. Smart in its name does not establish the app-connected Pro Connect feature set of OG901EU. |
| OG901EU Woodfire Pro Connect XL |
XL grill surface and crisper basket | Choose Pro Connect when remote monitoring adds value to your outdoor routine. It still requires appropriate outdoor placement, food supervision and the exact regional thermometer/accessory system. |
| OP100EU | 4.7-L pot; smaller Cook & Crisp basket | The Foodi Mini is a small-pot pressure-and-crisp option. Its nominal pot capacity is not a usable pressure fill line or a 4.7-litre air-fry basket. |
| OP300EU | 6-L pot; separate Cook & Crisp basket | This European two-lid Foodi suits one-pot cooking followed by a crisp finish. Check exact regional recall guidance and the supplied pressure lid before buying used; do not apply US OP300 identifiers without their suffix. |
| OP500EU | 7.5-L pot; 4.7-L crisp basket | Choose the large two-lid European Foodi for one-pot and crisping tasks. Allow storage space for the loose pressure lid and keep basket volume separate from pot volume. |
| OL550EU | 6-L pot; separate crisp basket | The smaller SmartLid avoids changing between two separate lids. Choose it for pressure, steam-combination and air-fry tasks when the six-litre pot fits your recipes. |
| OL650EU | 7.5-L pot; separate crisp basket | The larger SmartLid is a capacity and programme choice over OL550EU. It is not the probe-equipped OL750EU just because both share a large pot and lid slider. |
| OL650EUCP SMARTLID-OL650EUCP |
7.5-L pot; separate crisp basket | The copper SmartLid package should be chosen by its exact included accessories and local support. The old catalogue string SMARTLID-OL650EUCP is a marketing label around the model code. |
| OL750EU | 7.5-L pot; separate crisp basket | Choose this top SmartLid for probe-guided cooking and its specific steam-combination functions. Those benefits matter more than simply counting two extra programmes. |
| ON400EU | 5.7-L pot with adjustable tray | The European Speedi makes sense for a grain/vegetable base with a crisp upper component. It is not a pressure cooker, and its 15-minute meal advertising does not include every recipe's preparation or steam build-up. |
| ON400EUCP | 5.7-L pot with adjustable tray | The copper Speedi package follows the European ON400EU manual family. Check included tray and retailer extras rather than treating the colour suffix as an additional cooking mode. |
| SFP700EU | 12.5-L chamber; separate Combi pan | The European Combi suits layered meals and easier front access to pans. It differs from US SFP701's fourteen-function panel and is not a pressure-cooking Foodi. |
| DT200EU | Tray-based XL oven; check pan fit | Choose the European XL oven for trays, pizza and baking rather than assuming an oven-volume label predicts frying capacity. It needs permanent counter space and door-opening clearance. |
| SP101EU | Low-profile tray oven, not a basket-litre class | The European mini oven is a tray and toast appliance with air-fry capability. Its low chamber limits tall food; flip-up storage is useful only after cooling and with clear wall space. |
UK model directory
| Model review | Capacity / layout | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| AF100UK | 3.8 L | Choose it for uncomplicated small-batch cooking on UK supply. The UK rating/plug and local parts matter more than an AF100 family name shared with other markets. |
| AF160UK | 5.2 L | Choose this UK MAX for the dedicated high-heat frozen-food setting and a larger basket than AF100UK. The single drawer still cannot finish two different temperatures independently. |
| AF300UK AF300 |
7.6 L, two 3.8-L drawers | The UK two-drawer baseline is smaller than AF400UK. Choose it when two modest batches matter more than the extra width/capacity of the larger model. |
| AF400UK AF400 |
9.5 L, two 4.75-L drawers | The UK MAX is a capacity choice over AF300UK. It has no built-in food probe; buyers wanting probe-led doneness should compare the exact regional Smart Cook model. |
| OP350UK | 6-L pot; separate Cook & Crisp basket | The UK nine-function model adds a broader one-pot menu to the older two-lid layout. It is a different code from recalled North American OP350CO; check the complete rating label. |
| OP500UK | 7.5-L pot; 4.7-L crisp basket | The UK MAX is a large-pot alternative to OP350UK. Its substantial lid/handle clearance and removable pressure lid are as relevant as litres when planning a small kitchen. |
